I am the founding Director of JustMums Recruitment, responsible for operational management, strategic partnerships, account management and recruitment. Whilst on my second round of maternity leave I started to reassess my own priorities and career options. I went looking for professional support only to find there were no services catering for the needs of return to work mums. On a whim, and with a baby who didn't sleep and a "threenager" in tow, I launched JustMums to provide support to other mums and to address this huge service gap in the market (looking back I was crazy).
Professionally, I am a seasoned recruiter with more than 12 years experience recruiting locally and internationally. I am a qualified Social Worker too so spent my former years positioning myself as a leading recruiter within the health and community sector. More recently I have been a Semi-Finalist (top 6) in the Australian Women's Weekly Women in Business Awards (2016), recipient of the Northern Business Achievement Awards (2015) and a Telstra Business Woman of the year nominee. The most rewarding thing for me is being an advocate and a voice for mums and since launching 5 years ago, we have had a real impact on the way employers think and work.
I am originally from Adelaide and spent 4 years in London before calling Melbourne home. I am a busy working Mum of two (three if you count my fur baby) and struggle with work-life balance daily. When I am not working you will find me with my family, travelling, enjoying a wine and supporting the Adelaide Crows (sometimes all at once).
