Working Mothers Connect is a like-minded organisation offering an online platform connecting mums with flexible jobs and will complement our existing business model as an end-to-end recruitment agency. The acquisition will bring together over 60,000 mums in Australia and New Zealand who are actively seeking flexible work opportunities with family friendly employers.
WHY IS THIS ACQUISITION IMPORTANT?
According to KPMG’s recent report Ending workforce discrimination against women, “improving workforce participation rates for women could boost GDP by $60 billion by 2038”. Additionally, results from a recent survey conducted by JustMums Recruitment revealed that over 54.6% of mums were looking to change jobs in 2018 (with over 45% stating that their current employer isn’t supportive of flexible work request) and 45% were returning from parental leave. The JustMums Recruitment team have placed hundreds of working mums and mums returning to work with flexible and family-friendly employers since opening in 2012 – and this recent acquisition will strengthen our ability to do so.
